Low Ropes and Challenge Course
The Ropes and Challenge Course (RCC) is a series of
activities designed for group participation. The
course, which consists of trees, cables, ropes, and
wooden planks, is a tool that impels its participants
into challenging, risk provoking and occasionally
stressful situations. Thus groups will begin to look
and identify specific dynamics of individual or group
behavior.
The following articulates the philosophy RCC program
often promote:
- People have more resources and are more capable than
they think they are.
- A small heterogeneous group has the resources within
it to successfully cope with significant physical and
mental challenges.
- Significant, long lasting learning can be achieved
through an intensive short term experience.
- One learns more when presented with problems than
solutions.
The program is open to people ages 12 and up, for
non-profit groups as well as professional groups.
Groups should allow a minimum of three hours to work on
the RCC as trained facilitators guide your group
through an array of activities.
